Liz Kern serves as the Community
Health Advocate for Blue Zones Project and works with places as the organizational
lead. She is originally from Beaver Dam,
Wisconsin. She studied Exercise Sport Science at the University of
Wisconsin - La Crosse and received her Bachelors degree in Sports Management
and Business. Since graduation Liz has been working in the Northwoods
League for a number of baseball teams in several different capacities,
including Customer Service, General Manager and most recently Vice President of Big Top Sports & Entertainment. Liz's most recent duties included human
resources and special events. Liz grew up on a family farm and enjoys
working on it still outside of work. She also enjoys spending time with
her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and friends. Liz is an avid
outdoors person and is excited to be back in her hometown working with the community. She has
volunteered with Horicon Wrestling and is looking forward to volunteering with
area 4-H Clubs in the near future. Liz thoroughly enjoys the Horicon
Marsh; the events, the activities, the trails and the education it
offers.
